The box in the upper-left of the main display is linked to the cursor readout when over the SkewT chart. It reports the temperature, dewpoint, wind direction and speed, pressure, height AGL, and relative humidity of the trace.

Skew-T is the default upper air chart in AWIPS, and can be changed to *turbulence display* (**T**) or an *icing display* (**I**).
